Total noob here, hence my Username!
I have reasonable mechanical knowledge, have always worked on my own cars, VW beetles and Landrovers, but trying to sort my buddys bike out.
Does anyone know where i can get parts for it ? (bike as title)
Needs:
I think Everything electrical needs; alternator, wiring loom, regulator/rectifier, ignition coil etc etc etc.
Alternator has had the wires all cut, so all i am left with is 4 white wires.
Also i have no idea how to check the condition/function of the regulator and ignition coil.
And needs a throttle, I assume i can get a universal one from somewhere?
Lights etc i can probably sort myself.
Have tried 'Silverspares' but they seemed very expensive, or is this the norm ? (£220 for an alternator, £50 for the regulator) ____________________ dan |

the XL125 is a bloody fun bike! I remember having a go on a 82' model when i was 13 and loved it! Dual rear shocks if i remember rightly?
Also i know the XL is faster then the XR as I used to get the XL upto 75mph! But then again i was about 9 stone then and im 15 now lol
Ebay would be your best bet for parts!
or www.partfinder.co.uk but that does cost you money to search for parts ____________________ TS50 (sold) NS125F (sold) NSR125R-K (write off after 2 crashes) CG125 (nicked) XR125L-3 (Sold )-: ) DR125SM '11 (sold yay) XL125V '12 (In love with this bike) XT600E '04 (fun on the dirt) |
