Hi everyone i just noticed the coolant level is getting low on my Yamaha Jogg RR LC. I went and bought some Total Antifreeze summer coolant and didnt know whether it would be ok for the bike?. It says suitable for all engines? Confused

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

It should be fine.

I'm intrigued by 'summer coolant' though, is it pre-mixed with distilled water. I always assumed a 'summer coolant' included more water and less antifreeze (antifreeze being not so good at transfering heat as water)? I've never seen pre-mixed coolant before...

Anyhow, if it's not pre-mixed you generally mix it about 50/50 with distilled water, or whatever ratio it says on the bottle.

Ah well...

I'm suprised I've never seen pre-mixed coolant for sale, I would have thought there would be quite a market for it (lazy car drivers and me, for instance).

Halfrauds sell it, and its 3-4 times more expensive than concentrate.

That said, you haven't got to buy any distilled water, so works out the same.
