Say for example I get a letter stating I was doing 64 on a 40. Would I get 3 or 6 points?

Looks like you'll just scrape 3 points, unless they can give you more than three when you're below the summons threshold.

Have you got the NIP already or just worrying?

I would imagine 3 points. I got caught doing 52 in a 30 and got 3 points.

Got one through the post this morning. It was on the A217 at night so wasnt riding through a school playground/ kitten pen. It doesnt say much about points, just that i have to reply saying who the driver was within 28 days.

koolio, i see what happens. Ive had a really bad week on the bike. I blew up the Kawasaki (written it off) and now this. Ill let you all know what happens.

I thought 24mph over the limit was 6points. Hopefully you'll just get 3points.
