how many teeth should the ideal front sprocket have??
(for an nsr125)

The *picture* in my manual (NSR125 K-M, early ninties) shows 13 teeth. If you ask a bike parts shop they can probably find out from a catalouge.

13 0r 14 is what it is for all nsr's apart from the earliest one.

Would accelerate faster but you'd lose on the top end

honda told me today that a 36 size sprocket on the back was standard , i counted my teeth and there was 35 on my 2001 nsr, a 36 will give u 100mph and a 35 will give u 95, so i gonna put a 38 on it and the front im gonn leve it at the standard 14 cause they said u would have to bring the back up to arround 40, making up for lost accellatrion i gonna put a big bore kit in , arrow exaust back on , jetting and a k/n...
