My mate and i went out for a ride last night to the tap then a short bimble to see if his new build had any niggles.

Its a bandit 1200 that he has spent the past 6 months stripping and painting and pissing and moaning to me about it. Sounds absolutely stunning, goes like shit of a shovel, even though he was taking it easy last night for obvious reasons.

Nice.Thumbs Up I'm not keen on the headlight and I reckon it should have two end cans, one either side of the bike but otherwise it a really good job.

Dont like it, sorry. Headlights look cack and i just cant be doing with this 'pointy back end stuck about 5 foot up in the air' look. Rest of it does look nice but the previously mentioned elements spoil everything else for my taste.

Will say it again though - your 400 looks well sweet! Thumbs Up

Sorry to say but I agree I think the back looks daft, but if your mate likes it that's all that matters.

However I prefer the headlight it makes a change from bloody twin rounds like you see on every other bandit fighter.

To be fair i quite like it, agree with chris on the USD forks though.

Also i quite like the light, again as mentioned above it makes a change to the twin round lighs, The only thing i am uncertain about is the exhaust, although i dont know what i would do instead.

The Bandit headlight and rear end look ridiculous.

With those things changed it could look great.

It's not a bandit headlight, it's a generic "streetfighter" unit sold by M&P. Or at least it was about 12 years back when I last bought one.

Bike looks OK, too samey for it to be particularly interesting though.

i like the bandit the only things i think needs doing is something with the exhaust and something with the headlight, the headlight is pants and the exhaust just doesnt look right to me, what about end can on either side following the lines of the rear?

What's with the sticky-up tail every streetfighter has to have now? 'Proper' streetfighters (a dangerous phrase, that...) might have the rear suspension jacked up to improve agility, that can actually look good. Just sticking the tail on at the wrong angle looks like a badly drawn cartoon.

And also, don't your knackers get ground into the tank every time you ride? Do 'fighter riders enjoy this?

Cheers for all the comments guys n gals.

All the points that have been posted are actually things that tony is planning to do.

Cutting the can and having it straight back under the frame.

Busa forks

The arse end loox sweet IMO, and considering he has built it for wheelies and dragging i reckon its spot on.

Chrome LED bolts at the top of the plate and a strip LED brake/tail light is wikid.

May have taken him 6 months, but it looks like it was knocked up in a weekend.
