I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question but here goes. Nobody slate me for this either! Long shot, but does anyone know where I could get a fuel tank for a Suzuki ER 250?

Before you ask why would I want to bother, it’s a bike I’ve found that’s been abandoned for around ten years and I’ve managed to get it back up and running. It would be a shame for it to go to the great Suzuki dealer in the sky before I manage to kill it myself.

There's places in MCN ads. section where you phone them and they call round all the breakers for you.
I haven't got a copy to hand so can't give you the number, but I think they're called 'Partsearch' or something?

bonny_ricardo - believe me I have tried! You don't have the details of the one your tried do you? I check ebay out quite often but nothing has come up yet. Can't even find much on that bike by doing a search in Google. I refuse to give up on her though.

Cath, good idea. I haven't seen them so I'll buy a copy and give them a call. I still think it's a long shot though Smile

Chances are that no one will be advertising a tank for an ER250. the tank is more than likely used on many different models of bike, so check out other suzuki tanks.

Bike breakers are a good option, however alot of tanks are rusted through :/
would a fix of the old one not be possible?

I have tried fixing the old one but it's rusted far too much. I have called a few places and searched the web for the bike but can't find much info. on it. Maybe I should look for a Suzuki forum and see if someone knows of any other models that would fit the bike. It doesn't have to be perfect as long as it can be secured as I wont be using it on the road.

I've had very little luck finding out what one even looks like! :p

perhaps a pic of the old tank or of the bike will help us aid you in your search

I don't have a pic of mine at the moment but it looks very much like the one attached. I'm pretty sure that tank would fit mine. Thats a TS 250.

wrong colour and its hard to see, but a respary, some stickers and it could be perfect.

Well spoted but I don't think that one will fit my bike. It is from a newer model and it's a different shape. As you can see, from the ebay picture, the seat would come up over the tank but on my bike the seat doesn't come over the tank.

I will keep looking.

I really think you are going to need to try some grey bike importers for a part like that. Have you tried somewhere like https://www.dkmotorcycles.co.uk/home or https://www.batmotorcycles.co.uk/
