i was riding home yesterday i just overtook a car, and you know the solid metal things on each handlebar, the left one fell off and smacked my shin resulting in a nasty bruise, anyway i went back and looked for it, its gone Sad, would the dealer replace this under warrenty and do all bikes have them, if so will any fit on my RS

They're called bar-ends and they balance your handlebars.

If you let go of your handlebars whilst one is missing I'd imagine that your bike may pull to the one side?

They don't cost alot, but all the same annoying if they do fall off. You can always ask them where you bought the bike, otherwise you can pick up some tarty anodised ones from ebay Wink

the bike shouldn't pull to one side, they are there to balance out the vibes through the bars. Get some cheap ones rom M and P or somewhere like that, as I would imagine the Original RS ones are way too expensive. If the RS is very new, you could possible claim they weren't on right, worth a try.

Hi

They balance out the vibes, and putting on cheap light weigth ones will just mean that it looks like it has handlebar ends but that it still vibrates. Not sure how much they are now but they used to be dirt cheap from Aprilia (I know this as it turned out it cost me more to have some powder coated than it would have done to just buy new ones).

Think some are available made in stainless steel to fit the RS125.

All the best

Keith
