Take the battery out, shake as much water out as poss and leave in the airing cupboard.

I dropped mine down a lavvy and this worked fine. Ok, it was for a few seconds but it did recover.

The flash kept going off when it was still wet, which got a few looks as it was in my pocket and I didn't know.

I did have fun giving the phone to people to ask if they could hear a crackling. When they said 'no' I agreed and said it fell down my toilet and it made me feel better if other people handled it and put it to their face.

I am waffling now. Byeeeeeeeeee.

Seriously? I still can't tell if this is a joke or not. It's like the 'I drilled through my CDI' thread or the 'I used sand to port my 4 stroke engine' thread now Laughing

You're doing it wrong.

To evaporate the water without doing any damage to the phone you want to put it in your oven at a lowish temperature, about 100°C for half an hour will evaporate the water and you'll have a fixed phone. Thumbs Up

I'd say up to 48 hours seeing as it got a good soak, rinse, drain, spin, rinse, soak, drain, spin.

You could maybe try a hairdryer and get it as hot as your hand will allow.

I offer no guarantee with this method. Thumbs Up

Not a joke . . . Put it in a jar of rice as that will draw the moisture out. BUT if you did put it in the microwave then it will have fried the PCB/Chips.

i can promise you it did not go near the microwave lol.

It was in my work trouser's which have hundreds of pocket's, i usually wash my stanley knife, pencil, screwdriver bit's and the occasional £ notes, this is the first time the phone's gone in. It didn't do the full cycle only 7-10 min's before i realised what i'd done and pulled it out.

i've taken it to bits as far as i can so the curcuit board is fully exposed, fingers crossed but i dont hold much hope as it was proper full of water, there was a little ocean thing going on in the screen till i shook it out

Just leave it somewhere warm to dry out. Might take a couple of days.

Another thing i find works is after its fully dried out, get a cotton bud and some alcohol cleaner, you know the shit that smells the tits, and evaporates quickly, and use the cotton bud and alcohol to clean up where theres water marks etc on the circuit boards, as that is like corrosion on the board.

I dropped an old brick Nokia in a trench full of water once. When I found it the screen was like a spirit-level bubble Very Happy

Stripped it down, spun it in the sleeve of my jumper then left it on my dashboard to dry out. Worked perfectly.

My old Nokia went down a loo as mentioned in a recent thread and I retrieved it within seconds and immediately turned it off and disasswembled and left to dry near a radiator for 2 days.

Yours is slightly different as it's probably a lot more complex and was totally full of water. Main thing is not to try and turn it back on until its absolutely dry, but i'd be suprised if it still works tbh.
