Absolute BS, no way could you possibly fall asleep through a tattoo. You'd have to be sedated for something like that. Not natural sleep. Why would the artist drug her to do that? what would he gain?
And if she'd have come in looking drugged up, or fell asleep, I'd doubt any artist worth his studio would do the work, let alone carry on if she "fell asleep".

Also, I doubt she would fall asleep being tattooed on the face, I can understand it on some other body parts as you can relax yourself but I doubt even if you were exhausted you could nod off in that situation, especially through 56 of them in such sensitive areas.

Think about this.
Three of that size start would take 10 - 15 mins I reckon.
With that pain on her face and that short amount of time it would be ridiculously hard to nod off.
