Title says it all really. Anyone had it done?

What method was used? I've heard stories of tube snips and also injections so would be interested in stories of both.

Any info you can share would be great. Thumbs Up

I had it done about 10 years ago. Went in had it under a general ( didn't realise at the time as most have local) used immac on the ball sack and trimmed pubes back, thats all that was needed.
Had two small 4 mm cuts either side of sack where they cut the tube. Had a support on for a few days and was uncomfortable for about a week. That was it. Had to have a few wanks afterwards and be tested to make sure I wasn't ejeculating sperm just semen. Doesnt change your sex life you still jizz the same, the ladies said it still tasted the same too. Just no babies.

Guy I know did have an infection with his, but I think that was more him than the op, loads of other mates have had it done, usually under local without any problems at all. I seem to have been the average though.

Had it done under a local. Caught two buses home and humped a sack of compost with me. Hurt like a bugger once the anaesthetic wore off. best wa*k of my life next morning, all fluid and blood clots Mr. Green
Edit... did the Telegraph crossword while they were going it looked up as there was a funny clicking noise going on...Seems they were using a laser to cauterise things. I did go a little wonkie when I saw smoke pouring from my plums.

Not personally but I remember observing one done on a guy when I was doing my nurse training. Small incision in the scrotum, then a crochet hook was used to pull out the vas deferens, which was then cut and tied either side.

Guy had a local anaesthetic and I talked to him all the way through - he was shitting himself mind. I recall the Surgeon really putting him at his ease by saying he had a small penis to his junior doctors as he was teaching at the time Shocked

Guy was really pleased when it was done. Shook my hand on the way out. Fcuking surreal it was Confused

I stayed up at the none messy end throughout Wink

It was not a bad experience. The bit I did not enjoy was shaving my nuts the night before, when I arrived this little gay nurse had a look and tutted and told me he would shave them properly. He did so and made a better job of it than I did but I felt he took too much pleasure in his work. He then prepared me by pushing two big needles through my sack trapping my vas deferens to the outside of the ball bag. I then had to walk to the operating table like a cowboy Mr. Green

Man you must have so meant that when you wrote it Twisted Evil
It was not a bad day out, I spent a lot of my time laughing about it and freaking the Mrs out with blood stained pants etc. I went to work the next day and the pub on the night. The self dissolving stitches did not dissolve though and the Mrs had to cut them out with a stanley knife.
Do it, it is no big deal, she was having problems with the pill and coil so chopping my nuts just made sense.

I love your attention to only the fun details ariel Laughing There should be a karma rating for " Thumbs Up Informative but what the fuck".

Still haven't went in to request mine as being a whippersnapper I'm nervous I'll get told to piss off. Problem is the missus' HAD problems with the jab, wherein her sex drive plummeted, but now she's back on form I need to get my nuts sorted. Ariel you're such a confidence inspirer. Laughing

Being used to seeing cats that have been 'done' I can't help worrying that it changes you as a person as it does with a cat. Or is it different with peoples?

Totally different, cats have their entire testicles removed whereas yours stay in the same place doing what they have always done, only difference being that the little swimmers will be heading up a dead-end street from now on. Thumbs Up

I'll be getting one of those soon, for sure.

Just need to register at a GP first.

I take it they're free? What is the waiting list like?

I have been considering the big V as an alternative now as spawned 2 kiddies and thats enough for me. I do have one concern other than getting the old twig and berries out again in public, that is my age. I'll be 31 this year and still feel quite young at heart and have a conception that a vasectomy is for older chaps?

How old were you lot when you had it done.

I had the snip 13 years ago, when I was 30. I would have had it at 15, if I had the chance Smile

My biggest worry was getting a woody whilst some bloke handled me tackle, but the fear of the pain made Mr Wriggly do a sea anenome impression. I'd shaved the lads myself, as I wanted to keep fondlage to a minimum Smile

The op was quite straightforward, I had it done under a local. The injections weren't painful, just uncomfortable, and I didn't feel the slicing of the sack. I was mostly aware of a "tugging" sensation on my wormy bits - a bit like that when you've had a twisted knacker; again, not painful. I understand that it's not just a snip, but a small length (maybe an inch?) of the tube is removed, before each bit gets tied. Once one side was done, the local started to wear off, and it started to sting. The doc picked up on this and gave me another injection. The other side was done, I was sewn up, then wheeled to a quiet area for a cup of tea and a biccy. It probably only took about 20 minutes.

Recovery was ok, the lads were swollen and dark purple so I wore boxers instead of briefs for a few days. A bit of advice - if you find yourself walking across Dunstable Downs a couple of days after a vasectomy, and a frisbee comes at you, don't jump up to catch it. Because when you land again, you'll jolt the lads, throw a couple of stitches and it'll look like you've got your period, and you'll have to drive home with half a roll of loo paper stuffed down your grundies.

One thing I wasn't prepared for. When you've shaved your nutsack (and been complimented on doing such a neat, clean job) it has to grow back again - and it itches like fuck, as well as scraping your inner thighs like sandpaper.

And everything works the same as it did before. Well, except now my left buttock goes numb if we do it doggy style Wink

If sperm storage was cheap/easy I'd have mine done now. No qualms on the surgery, I just might want kids one day.

I just don't want that day to randomly pop up 9 months after humping some godforsaken slag who I have jack shit interest in.

Not too fussed about the pain and residual discomfort after a few days as have a PA and until the start of this year x5 2mm metal rings through the love spuds. Seen the 'stitch less' method on the net and looks a little Sick but if you cant see him pulling them out with a crochet hook then not too bad I suppose.

On a foot note.

It is quite funny at how the idea of getting your knob and nuts out in public makes them shrink beyond what is deemed humanly possible. Laughing

I have read about chronic pain after the operation, which clearly would put me off a bit. Anyone any further knowledge/experience of this?

There are drop in centres dotted all over the place. Most of them are in urban areas.

I have managed to track a picture of one of the doctors from these centres in the hope it helps. Waiting time = 0 weeks.
