Hormones. Nuff said, they make women want things like kids. After I had one I wanted another and for some reason still do and I dont know why I would want to go through that again , its just hormones.

oh my god I am so ashamed

both my daughters, mid 20s, have fallen pregnant within a week of each other, both on the pill, both have careers that having a baby wont screw up and they both have partners who are ecstatic about becoming dads, i dont know how I can live with the shame,

oh hang on its okay they arent married yet, please tell me that the upcoming wedding of one of my daughters doesnt make this situation any less accceptable

That's what I was thinking with my OP. Some women decide not to have children, can't see a problem with that. Yet some women want to be like a queen bee, pumping them out 24/7.

Realistically, we are here to breed if you look at the physiology of the human species. Society has allowed enabled women to choose whether or not they want to have children. NOt all women are maternal while a lot of men embrace fatherhood with enthusiasm. It only becomes a problem when one partner doesnt want children and the other does. So to ask why women suddenly decide they want babies seems a bit of a strange question surely.

I am not saying it is a given right to be a parent, animals in the wild tend to not breed unless the environment is right. The introduction of benefits to those who wish to churn out children makes it easier for many who in any other species would never even consider bringing up young.

Many people who have decided not to have children suddenly change their minds, a child brought up in a good environment with decent parents is a joy, well until they become teenagers and an alien implants some kind of brain parasite that sends them mad for a few years
