Hey everyone,

i have i Gilera dna 180 bought a few weeks ago. after a week i got the belt torn. So i bought a new one and also replaced parts of the variator. the probelem is that now when I reach about 95 km/h the bike looses power and the RPM start bouncing up and down.

Could it be that the belt is slipping?? What can i do to fix the problem???

Thanks a lot

sounds like the clutch could be faulty, whip off the clutch housing & have a look at the shoes for wear. what parts of the variator did you replace & why? did you fit a kevlar drive belt instead of a rubber one, if you do wheelies then the standard belt won't last pissing time.

i Am using a standard belt. From the variator i changed the rollers and the two plates with the splines since these where not in a good condition. The clutch seemed ok. it had more 2 mm left although there were some signs of heating.
