Hi, well while talking to my dealer and explaining the type of restriction in my 04 NSR125 he asked if the carb needs 2 be rejetted when you take the restrictors out? I actually have no idea what that means but does it need 2 be done??

Thanx

Joey

I'm not to sure on this one, but i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.

You rejet to let more petrol in to the engine, but i'm sure it doesn't have to be done unless you have a number of modifications to the bike.

Not really sure if that is right.

Sorry i couldn't be any more of a help.

I'm not aware that it does.

Plenty of other people on here have had their 02/03 NSRs derestricted and they have seemed to run fine without rejetting.

Though on most bikes some minor fiddling will usually help a bit anyway.

Hi

Think the NSR is jetted to suit a full power engine anyway so you can get away with it. On a 2 stroke the jetting is important as it is far easier to suffer fairly expensive engine damage from running lean than it is on a 4 stroke.

All the best

Keith
