well i owned one and found the that they were good bikes but the steering on them has to be sped up. basically they require alot of commitment to get them round not so drastic corners which is stupid.

You can raise the rear to overcome this with a cheap raise plate so not a biggie.
Also brakes on these things tend to be a problem on some bikes but other than that they are solid bikes, very planted with ample power.

Also if your interested tom. I have half an srad sitting in my garden which would make an interesting project.

Deano i know exactly what you mean, did you come from a 400 like myself? I couldnt get used to the shit handling of the SRAD and eventually my nerves got me.

I will see if i can get used to it this time around, but if it starts to piss me off i'm just going to fucking sell it lol.

seconded... but change the words ''like a dream'' to ''well''.

compared to the R6, the only handling difference i found is the physical size. if it handled that badly they wouldnt have had them in the 1997 moto GP now would they Wink

how much you after for it mate? any pics? thanks, tom.

I'll probably take £250 for everything I have left, swingarm, frame, bottom yoke, , rhs fork leg. motor 44k with new clutch and valve s recently done, most of the bodywork but scruffy but can be easily reparied. and lots of other bits. but in the middlesex area if anyone is interested. pickup of course if someone wants everything as have to sign over v5.

Yeah I came from a 400 and a bandit. I even thought the bandit turned quicker but couldnt handle any serious speed. The wheelbase and ride height is what needs addressing, everyone ive heard of raising the rear by a small plate or aftermarket rear shock have said it transformed the bike completely.

i love the bike, and feel that it handles well. The bike will only ride as good as the rider who is on it imo!!!

Oooo ouch that hurt, though i feel my 20 yr old yamaha FZR 400 with shagged suspension handles and pissed off a TLS with great ease, even with a shit rider like me onboard of it. Thumbs Up

thats probably because you've been upright on your SRAD all of 5 seconds.

if you're small, you probably would find it pretty big and bulky to be throwing around corners, but if you're not, its a pretty good bike. i much prefer it to the R6.
