Anyone know the 0-60? Is it comfy to ride? Worth the price tag?

You mean a ZXR400?

Lovely bike, but im biased Very Happy

the zxr is 65bhp 398cc and does 0-60 in about 4.4 secs roughly... it weighs 164kg dry.

what prices have you seen? i bought mine that has been fully rebuilt, custom paint job + can, steering damper and pirelli diablos for 1500 with a free zxr400 that needs rebuilding (work in progress) that has original fairings, in original stock maroon and bridgestones with less than 500 miles on them.

My budget isn't massive that's why im looking at them and VFR400's but I don't like the engine noise of the VFR

This should be all the reason you need to get a ZXR400.

havent ridden loads of bigger bikes but preffer this one to the ones i have ridden.. (not just because its mine! Laughing ).. like srads, r6, divvys, sv's etc ..the bike obv isnt quicker than any 6's on straights but on some roads the weight/size of the bike gives a big advantage.

except nowadays 600's weigh less than the 400's do now and has much more power. for instance i got an RVF, planning on getting a 2005 zx6r as my next bike.

rvf weighs 185kg, zx6r is 184kg (according to motorcycle specs which i use most of the time https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/) the rvf puts out around 65hp at best, the zx6r puts out nearly 120hp. weighs neary the saame and more than double the power.

if you compare them to the 600's that were out when the 400's came out then yes they are lighter than those.

Whoring time.

https://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn82/mr_fisty/dscf0022_142.jpg

My old one, written off by a boyracer.

O-60 is roughly 4.5seconds depending on where the bike is from and gearing 165ks dry. Headgaskets are weak on H to L4 models, radiators rot where they join the oil cooler and the cooler ends up being held on by cable ties.
They get abused and unloved by new riders. camchains and valve clearances need doing as per service schedule.
Clutches rattle. if you replace them they still rattle.
Plenty of 2nd hand parts available through ebay/breakers. Limitless tuning/styling options around too.
Ohlins shock and fork springs make a world of difference.

And yes, you can embarrass bigger bikes easily.
