1st of all, the person that had it before me forgot to put a little rubber gasket on when they replaced the gaskets, and so coolant got into the barrel and crank, whats the easiest way to get this all out?

and second is that it isnt sparking, at all. Tried it with three different plugs and none spark, so whats the first thing I should replace?

Taking the engine apart and reassembling it properly is going to be your best chance of success.

As for not sparking, it could be pick up, CDI, HT lead or coil.

The thing is theres a place about 5 - 10 miles away that said they would dry it all out with an air compresser but would it ride that far without hydrolocking?

It's not a risk I'd take, but it's your bike dude.

It would probably involve taking the carb and reed block off and then cranking the engine so the exhaust port is open, then blowing air through it.

Not tried it myself, mind.

I guess it cant be too difficult to do and must be a hell of a lot easier than splitting the crank right?

Probably true. It also might solve your ignition problems as there's no way in hell it'll fire with a load of water in it.

Have you already fixed the gasket issue?

Funny, my brother's senda had the same problem, but leaking from the head gasket.

Took the engine out of the frame, stripped down the top end and just poured the water out. Not professional, but it worked for us. A heat gun was also recommended, but untried because I didn't have one.

The gasket issue seems to be sorted, will know for sure once we can get it started. Thing is it wasnt even sparking like you know where you try and kick it with the spark plug held against the cylinder. It has no electric star Sad. Was it hard to get the engine out of the frame? I dont think there is a massive amount of water in there to be honest with you, just a little damp and like mixed with the oil.

You need to dry the crankcases out quickly or the bearings with start to rust, which means engine rebuild.
