Afternoon,

So yeah, passed my part 2 today, was so happy I poo'd a bit.

Part 1 went smooth, piece of piss really, only issue in practice was getting the speed up for the E-stop and swerve, but in the test I just accelerated out the corner, rang the bloody neck of the throttle and just killed it after the speed gate, job done.

Today though I was nervous as hell. On the way to the test centre I was making stupid mistakes and my instructors all like "what the hell you doing??" because he knew I didn't normally make silly mistakes like that, but I guess he knew the nerves were getting to me.

Anyways, once the test got underway the nerves disappeared for the large part and I just concentrated on riding properly and safely. There were a few hairy moments on the dual carriageway where I wasn't sure if I was correct in staying in the right hand lane through some sections, and also an incident with a bus switching its indicators on and turning out right as I got to the back of it.

It was a choice of E-stop or move around it, and since I had already done a mirror check and right shoulder lifesaver, I just went for it and prayed I did the right thing.

Couple of times I wasn;t sure of the speed limit so either had to guess completely, and sometimes a bit more of a calculated guess given the surroundings.

Got three minors in the end, one for not doing a lifesaver during a turn (which in fact I did do as it was the last turn back into the test centre so obviously I remember that one) and the other tw were for road markings on roundabouts.

Still, happy with that, and someones coming to collect the NSR in a couple of hours. I shall shed a small tear as I see her ride off into the sunset as she's been a good bike to me (I even tore the L plates straight off so I could at least say that I'd rode it once looking as nature intended it lol) but that sorrow shall be replaced with a menacing grin as my Hornet turns up about an hour after Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Indeed, riding for a year and a half on a 125, I thought I was pretty up to scratch with observations and being roadwise but the training has opened my eyes to a few things, so I figure I'm gonna have a couple of months to get used to it then look at doing ssome advanced training or at least bike safe or something before spending any considerable duration of time on motorways and such.

About 40 mins, which went on for what seemed like forever.

Slight delay in uploading pics due to some idiot stringing me along for 6 weeks saying he was going to buy my NSR - you can imagine how that felt to be let down on the day of passing your test!

Anyhow, I stick the NSR up on ebay and lent the money to buy this baby off the old cheese, and here she is (the bike, not my old cheese):

I was rather surprised at the rapid acceleration, going to take me a while to get used to switching up gears smoothly. Also, the riding position feels like im sat on the handlebars, it's so different from the NSR.

Fortuntaely, it's a nice sunny day, I got a full tank of petrol, and as I only rode her home from the sellers house yesterday which took all of 10 minutes, I think today is a fine day to get acquainted with the monster Twisted Evil
