Started working on tuesday at Private Media Group. Pretty awkward cause I've been slotted in by my dad and I'm 19 - average age is around 30, youngest about 27. So I feel like a little kid.
Will be doing a variety of things over the 2 months. I'm in human resources now, next stop marketing, then accounting. Good experience I guess Thumbs Up
But it's good money over the summer and I'll be able to buy nice stuff and party hard on the weekends Razz
Anyone else have a job over the summer? Wanna share how fun/boring it is?

I love that place.

Visiting. Not working.

To be fair, provided you don't act like you're trying too hard to fit in then they won't treat you like a kid - I've had a couple of jobs where I was the youngest by a good margin (when I was 17-19) and I found that if you actually just put in the work then you get a bit of respect from them.

Me though, this is going to be the last summer I have off, most probably ever, so I'm not going to waste it by working! Mr. Green

I remember running my dads gardening and landscaping business when he went on holiday fro 3 weeks in summer. My grandad drove me round and helped out and I used all my dads kit and stuff so it didnt cost me anything.

The deal was that my grandad collected the money from the customers and I got any that was paid in cash and my dad kept anything that was paid by cheque. Used to earn anything between £500-£1000 in the 3 weeks. I felt like the richest 17 year old at the time Mr. Green

Hey,

Used to work at Pleasure Island in Cleethorpes while doing my HND in Computing. Then moved onto Morrisons as a cashier, finnaly ending up in Morrisons admin Fulltime.

After doing 2 years of college studying computers i have gone a totally different route and work as a technical Storeman for Eastern Airways.

Funny how things work out.

Shaun.

I was 16 when I got my first big job with Scottish Power in one of their retail shops. I was working in the Stockroom and loved it, was by far the youngest there but nobody treated me different. If anything I seemed to get a lot of respect for just getting my head down and doing my job.
