hi all im new on here but just bought my school boy dream bike tsr125 i raced an rm125 back in the day so always wanted the tsr on the road but never happened now some 14 years later ive got a near minter but it seems nippy and have looked into derestricting it ive seen ppl say chop yellow wire chop white and black wire but never seen anyone say if its worked so on the off chance anyone can remember how to derestrict it please let me know any advice with be appreciated

If it's the same engine as the RG125 fun....We did have a tsr125 in the training school I worked at years ago! Then it was just a case of unplug the GREY wire under the seat. that grey wire stops the powervalve opening by earthing it out. just tape up the bullet to the frame to keep it safe and away you go.

cheers for that ill have a look tomorrow i chopped the yellow wire and it just fired the valve open not ideal so out comes the soldering iron again and burnt fingers Very Happy

i found the random wire under the seat unpluged it and what a difference its like a different bike i cant believe suzuki made it so easy to derestrict thanks for pointing me in the right direction i really appreciate it

Glad to be of help!!! On the RGV's that wire is used to check and set the power valve position so I guess suzuki decided to use it as an easy restrictor. There is a little more to fully deristricting the bike fully but just a little jet change here and there...that mod is 90% of it though!!
