The petition was a load of bollocks anyway. It was wrong, as pointed out on this very forum at the time.

I still think that if the argument for cars is pollution based it shouldn't be changed for bikes - although was that wrong as well do bikes polute a lot?

To do that I'd imagine that they'd need to start checking emissions during an MOT then. Not going to please many with after market cans.

Is MPG the same as poluting? I would assume that there was a correlation but that is would be more down to effeciency/engine design.

look at 2-strokes for example

MY mondeo had a cat fitted, the bike didn't so I'm assuming it was more polluting.
