Is there a way to self induce crazy dreams/hallucinations? I don't mean like taking drugs and getting trippy/high. Just float off to sleep and have mad dreams? I've heard cannabis can supress dreams is there something on the other end of the spectrum?

Are you trying to stop the dreams or make them happen more?
IIRC colin or someone posted about lucid? dreaming which is the way i sleep and they are quite real for me, if i'm forced to wake early i'm still trapped in the dream.

Meditation can sometimes induce hallucinations. I've done it a couple of times. They aren't really vivid, but if you drift off to sleep immediately after then it seems to affect your dreams.

Nothing special happened, just some interesting imagery. I didn't hallucinate that I was having sex with a beautiful woman or winning a Moto GP race or anything like that, just vague symbols like eyes, trees, mountains, animals and stuff like that. I suppose its not unlike a native american vision quest, although no creatures spoke to me and told me I should be called awesome tiger or anything like that.

Shame.

Take ZMA tablets.

Such as these:

Read some reviews on it as well, you will see how many people comment about messed up dreams, and I can attest to that too!

Hummmm. I dont take anything at all not even smoke, and I have mental dreams that come alive and wake me from my slumber to dance with the marshmallow ma in my room. I think I ate cheese for that one. Its just random with me. There was a giant butterfly in my bedroom one night. Embarassed

That indeed is a shame...... imagine the possibilities.....

If I knew of a solid way to induce Sleep Paralysis then that would give you all the crazyness (not to mention utter sheer terror) then that would suit all your needs, but I highly do not recommend it.

It happened to me through smoking weed before bed, not even getting really wasted, just a couple would do it. It was badsville from then on.

The only other time it happened was when I was deprved of sleep, which, as it happens, happened to me this weekend just gone. I had been out on the pop both friday and saturday and not got in till the late hours, yet waking up relatively early, thus not much sleep.

Come Sunday night whilst I was 'asleep' (because generally it's hard to tell when reality stops and hell opens it's doors) I felt what I thought was the gf's hand on my head but then I realised the hand was running it's fingers across my head a bit too hard, so I made a grab for the hand (I couldn;t see it as my back was to my gf and the hand was touching the back of my head). Then I tried to move but couldn't, tried to scream for my gf to wake me up but only a small whisper was coming up, I was also trying to elbow my girlfriend in hopes that it was her hand and that she'd stop, but despite using every ounce of strength in me, I was barely moving. I just about managed to turn 90 degrees to my left, but I didn't look in the direction of my gf as I had a pretty good idea what I'd see and knew it would not be nice so I just kept fighting the paralysis and telling myself to wake up, which I did eventually. After checking that I was indeed awake, and it wasn't a false awakening, I looked over and my gf had her back to me on the other side of her bed and was fast asleep.

But I digress.....

So yeah, weed or sleep deprivation for that kind of shit.

ZMA for funky dreams.

I have weird dreams all the time, and it doesn't matter if I am straight or not. There is usually nothing unusual in what I do before bed either...use the net, bit of telly, maybe read.

I loved ZMA's, the dreams I had were WEIRD.

Shame I kept waking up seriously groggy otherwise would get some more.

Nicotene patches. (24 hour ones...)

I got incredibly vivid dreams when I used them. One involved sitting in an American half track army vehicle (circa world war 2) I'd stolen it with a GI buddy because we'd done something wrong. I crashed it through a wire fence and one of the wires basically cut my pal in half diagonally from the hip up to his oppoaite armpit.

I could see all his internal organs in cross section.

I passed out (within the dream) then woke up in a barrack room in real life... Only joking, in the dream I woke up in a barrack room feeling realy bad about killing my pal.

I had another dream of a sexual nature which I won't go into. Suffice to say, it was highly engaging.

Cheese sometimes does it to me too.

I find it really hard to settle into a new home when I move. In my current place. I'd only been there 2 or 3 days. Horrible nightmare. Was dreaming I was backed into a corner getting repeatedly stabbed. Was Screaming "Help, HELP!" At the top of my voice! I was screaming so loud I woke myself up!

The neighbor leapt across to my balcony to find out what the hell was going.

"Yeh, uh hi... I'm your new neighbor!" Mr. Green

I once got stabbed in the chest under the desert in a dream... Totally strange dream I remember from when I was about 14. This desert seemed to be suspended on a massive (as far as the eye could see) platform held up by rough timber struts.

I was climbing out of a rectangular gap in the floor of the desert, half way up this rough ladder I turned round and a nasty arab type chap in a dish dash thrust a dagger in between my ribs.

I swear I could feel the knife going in.

Dreams are just nonsense to me but I wonder what one could read into that?

Shocked

Reminds me I had a couple of friends who were trying to quit accidently wear the patches to bed and they said they had horribly intense nightmares about getting raped and such.
