Hey everyone.. I have an NS125r and i'm having a bit of a problem with spluttering.
As i'm revving up, in gear, the engine will rev up so far and then splutter a LOT then start revving up again.
i'm thinking that it might be a problem with the mix running too oily but i'm not sure.
If it is, i'm not sure how to change the mix, but what do you all think??
Thanks in advance, Dave ____________________ www.BikeCruiser.co.uk |

Nope, it's definately not that because it used to be fine!
It just started a couple of months ago, and it's doing my nut in because I cant get up to speed quickly, I have to be in 4th sometimes just to reach 30mph!!
I know! Bad isn't it.

Hi
Check the carb is all clear. Check the condition of the needle jet and the main jet.
Check that the ignition switch or the kill switch are not shorting out. These work to stop the engine by earthing the ignition system, Trouble is that as they age they can break down and allow the ignition system to start to earth out, causing problems at higher revs.
All the best
