Ouch!!! Sorry I can't give advice on what to expect. I got caught at 138mph a few years ago but got away on a technicality. Did you get pulled? I bet mr Plod was pleased with himself!
Sorry this doesn't help but..... Ouch!!!

Banned.

Unless you can get them to agree under 100mph but if it was coppers that stopped you and you admitted it or they have proper video evidence.

Then your screwed

This guy was jailed for 6 months for 122mph, so I'd expect 9months. Wink

Just kidding, this guy was only jailed for 12 weeks, for 130mph.

Bloody ell, sounds like you did get a decent pair. The guys that got me were so excited that they completely ballsed up their report to the extent they got the road number wrong and other minor details. I was in the car though and a rather boyracerish one too but they didn't half have a go. I thought one of them was gonna have a heart attack and it wound them up even more that I was so calm and polite.
I would imagine you'll get banned but length of ban, who knows?

I was under the impression you'd only get jailed if you were seen to be driving wrecklessly, putting someones life at risk, wheelies etc but I don't know for sure. A mate of mine got a 3 year ban for doing a 149mph wheely but no jail time so who really knows. Depends if the judge got any nookie the night before I guess.

I seriously doubt it from what you've said about the coppers. It depends, were you doing 122mph on A roads, with your son unprotected on the back? Or doing 130mph acting an idiot? Or were you on an empty motorway, in the left hand lane (using motorways correctly) signaling and doing shoulder checks, driving like a sensible person, all be it, at 140mph?

It's all about the mitigating circumstances, which is where a solicitor can help you out. Personally, I'd have a solicitor.

Jail i would'nt of thought so but it aint out of the relms of possability
it depends on what judge you get
like said that other bloke had his kid on the back ie putting someone else in danger , at the very least get a solicitor

When I got pulled averaging 108mph on the M6 a few years ago the police details of the conditions at the time were read out in court. In my case it was 'late at night, motorway very quiet, weather conditions and visibility good' etc. I'd expect that sort of thing to have an impact, although I'll be bloody amazed if you get away without a ban.

Do bear in mind though that you'll be going to the court local to where you were caught. If they're used to seeing people hauled up in front of them for 100mph+ there's a chance you've got more hope than you would have done for flying through a country village at 80mph. They'll see it as less outrageous. Maybe. On the other hand you could be fucked, flick a coin!

Are you meant to be 33bhp?

Jail is a possibility for high speeds but it seems there has to be something else to it other than just speeding. 130mph, 17 police vehicles chasing for 23 miles = 15 months jail, 6 months jail for 122mph in the rain with kid as pillion and 28 days jail for 157mph, same for guy doing 148mph. Your speeding wasn't as serious as any of those so I'd hope you're looking at a fine and a ban.

I'd say get a solicitor!! The courts aren't bothered about how being banned would inconvenience you but they are bothered if it would have an adverse affect on others, you use your bike to do weekly shopping for your disabled gran or something like that. Wink

Something would have to go incredibly wrong in court for you to be jailed, like if you started wanking in the court room or something like that. Razz

Of course you could be very lucky, someone who'll remain nameless got caught doing ~120 whilst under taking and then chased for 10 miles. He never heard anything further and so got away with it. Laughing

Have a look at www.pepipoo.com and see what people there say.

Once... I may have not noticed the police car chasing me, accelerated to 130mph on an A road and not stop for three miles... The policeman's statement was read out in court saying that I pulled over promptly, and I was done for 96mph Wink Thumbs Up

I am no expert, but by the sounds of it you are going for mitigating circumstances a motoring professional would be a very good idea, it may go in your favour to sell the bike get a 125 or something and do a speed awareness course show pro activeness in changing your bad bad ways...............................................but i would speak to a person that deals with this kind of thing .again i am not a expert

whether it helps or not but someone at my work was done a couple of weeks back for doing 110 in a 60. the copper was on a bike and followed him for several miles at various speeds until he pulled him over. the copper said he was riding really well, but had twice gone up to 96 and then when he got to 110 he pulled him. when it got to court the judge ruled that the copper should have pulled him over at the first chance he got when he realised he was speeding, the judge said 200 yards is the required distance. because the copper followed him, the judge said he wasnt doing his job right so my mate got 6 points and a fine, no ban.
if you were followed for two miles i would say they had plenty of chance to pull you over before that so you may be able to use that in court.

Are you for real? Confused Do the maths, 2 miles at 140 miles per hour would take 0.014 hours, multiply by 60 and you're looking at 0.85 of a minute, or approx 51 seconds.

Even the most efficient coper can't pull you over less than a minute after spotting you, it would take him half of that to switch the lights & sirens on!

I was followed for 2.5 miles when I was pulled for 108mph. When doing you with VASCAR they need to follow you for a distance and ascertain your average speed. Like Coxyzxr, I was pulled on a motorway - much safer than speeding through a village.

sounds like a lot of people have been caught out. i havent a clue what will happen to you, in my experience if you act regretful and say you will trade your bike in for a 125 and do speed courses etc. they may be abit more lenient.
no one can say what will happen to you because it depends entirely on the judge and police officers.
the judge may say.. ok i think you regret it, pay the fine and be on your way.
or he may say.. u silly little bugger, you should be off the roads instantly! straight to jail, dont pass go, dont collect $200.

all the best, hope you dont get banned, that would suck!
be sure to post what happens to you! Laughing
