GSXR 600 K4 - Cheap parts?

Hi,

I've recently aquired a GSXR 600 K4, after passing my A2

Then last night some twat decided to do a U turn infront of me and we collided.

I have a few damaged parts such as both side fairings, indicators, rear brake pedal and gear lever.

Where would i be able to buy the parts for as cheap as possible?

Is Ebay the best? I dont mind second hand parts, dont want to loose my no claims bonus and pay out a £800 excess so the guy has offered to pay £500 at first. Hes a nice geezer, biker too (fuckin even more of a knob for not looking) so i want to do him and me both a favour by getting it fixed on the cheap?

You do realise that seeing as he was at fault you'd be claiming from his insurance thus keeping your no claims and excess?

Of course he's a 'nice bloke' he's just knocked you off the bike and you are not reporting it to his insurance. By fobbing you off with £500 he's saving money in the long run.

I'd think carefully about what to do.

the guy knows its his own fault because thats why he's offering you the money.

you dont pay the excess if its not your fault.

however, you didnt call the police at first, and you probably had no witnesses so you've kind of done yourself over a bit.

non-fault claims dont affect your premium either.

The reason i didnt really want to go through insurance is also because i read up that most filtering accidents go split such as 80/20 or something and then i would have had to pay the excess and gone through all that hassle plus loose my ncb. This way he's paid me £700 and I've bought everything accept the 2 side fairings so far.

£170 for a used fairing a decent price? Seems a little expensive. (from a breaker)
