Riding fast??

Hey, hope is good.

I was riding my Vulcan 125 earlier down the A4 to maidenhead and back to Reading where I live and noticed that my bike after the oil change got me to 65 comfortably without red lining and stopped vibrating almost smooth riding.

Silly question to ask but in my car when I really put
my foot down I get no rush, but on my bike I felt something different almost like I was more alert and after I parked up at home I was almost shaking cause it felt like a weird good??

Anyone else ever felt like that or is it just me?? Excuse any spelling mistakes typing on iPhone (",)

Yeah after a long ride I get a sort of involuntary "knee-bounce"

My foot bounces up and down on the pegs from the cold.

Tell you what is good for the cold in winter: exhausts from roadworks lighting diesels. They're on all night in some places and the hot diesel zorst warms frozen hands nicely!

I have a car and a moped. It's a much bigger thrill riding a moped...or bike, but in this case moped, than a car. The fact you're open against the elements and feel the wind rush against you the faster you go makes it so much more of an adrenaline rush. It's fantastic

I agree , I don't drive much anymore , but drove a work car yesterday a 335d 09 plate, which is ment to be fast , but it felt flat and dull , used to get a boner driving "fast" BMWs , but not so much anymore.

I only get a rush of adrenaline or a buzz, when I know I've done something stupid and/or dangerous and got away with it by luck.

Normal riding, even doing crazy speeds, I don't get any sort of buzz of excitment, just a smile on my face

Thanks for the comments guys I've only been riding a month now and getting confident slowly but surely

Hopefully take my bike test by September!! Just need to practise for theory cause I'm so rubbish at that.

Always a strange feeling when you have a very close call.
Get home and think "Shit, that could have been very bad."
Winter is weird because i find if i go out for a thrash, once i get home i feel like oven, but you can still feel the cold air coming off you.

I had a pretty big one about 6 months ago.

Was screaming it down a wide stretch of A road, good overtaking spot. Slowed down as i was coming up behind a car. Was a gap, so I dropped a gear and booted it. Was along side the car, went to grab 4th gear, and (as it does sometimes) it wouldn't go in! So there I am, coasting along, revving the cock off the bike, looking for the gear, and I see this car coming the other way getting close pretty damed quick. Stamped on the gear lever and pinned it, tucked in and nipped past with no a huge gap to spare.

Was screaming and shouting in my lid about that. Could have just braked and pulled back in, but that's not the first thing that comes to mind when your trying to go fast...

I love just doing stupid stuff and getting away with it haha, that gives me the adrenling rush!
Aswell, when I get chavs in a 1.2-1.4 corsa, reving there engine behind me and then I just leave them
That gives me excitement and a adrenling rush!
I also get that where my foot starts to shake due to the cold lol.

It is rather funny when someone tries to race you. Even a 125 will out accelerate most non-sporty cars.

Much more fun on a bigger bike though, when you can burn off more powerful cars. I had good fun showing up some bloke in his RS6, trying to show off to his friend.

Also had fun trying to keep up with an M3 and a 911 that were having a play with each other, althouh i eventually was left behind. That was when I was still on 33bhp.

On another note, had a bit of a giggle the other day when my mum and me were in the garden and he was looking at my bik and asked "Does it really do 180?" (Speedo reads upto 180). I grinned and told her "no, but it'll do 155". She cringed, and mumbled something about "shouldn't have asked".

I ride a moped and travel in cars...
90+ in a car is pretty cool
30 on a moped in farm lanes is a laugh...

But i've also been almost 40 on a skateboard (longboard) down a hill (shorts, shirt, helmet) and that is unreal! I had a little wimper and a lie-down at the bottom

Pah, that speed in a car feel's like nothing, especially as a passenger.

Bet going fast on the longboard felt scary though, nothing to hold onto, no brakes etc.
