BT45G and BT45, whats the difference?

mandp list both, as do a few other websites, anybody know the difference between the G and the normal?

This is only in sizes 110/70 and 130/70, which just happen to be the two sizes i need.

Never heard of the G.

Brigestones site doesn't offer much info either...All i know is they do a normal speed rated BT45s (H) and the high speed rated (V).

I put my bets on G being a oem fitted tyre to certain bikes, as im guessing a normal bt45 will be slightly stickier than a oem as fitted tyre..

I didn't in the end, just went to the shop and got them, I am notoriously bad with my money so if I ordered them online, by the time they arrived I wouldn't have had the money for fitting Laughing

It's cheaper than most of the other local places so I can't really complain.

How long do you guys take it easy for on new rubber out of interest? Got told 100 miles but they feel pretty damn grippy already compared to the old ones Laughing

All ways paid that, thought it was the standard price for them. 60 quid for a rear fitted, so i guess it would be 55 for a front, but always changed rear when changing front.

Yup, the tyres themselves were 130, then the extra was fitting and i think balancing.

I guess that means i get the sucker of the day award: same tyre, 210 for 2 rears and a front, and 40 more quid to get them fitted and balanced for me because i didn't buy from the bike shop. Doh.

My local bike shop wanted to charge me £180 for the 2 tyres fitted.

They were paying £123 for the pair direct from Bridgestone though.

I also got a set on Friday, paid £157 so mildly cheaper but not by much really Wink. I gave it 10 miles then I was riding like normal, they are good tyres, felt a bit skittish when I leant quite far at about 20 miles, but as its fresh rubber I'd expect that.

Also I was puzzled by the G thing as well, I did find the answer but I can't find it again. From what I remembering it is a tyre designed specifically for a 500cc suzuki but I'm not sure which one.
