97 Bandit 600 new chain and sprockets whining

HI all,

Have just installed a new chain and sprockets onto my bike as the old o ring chain had a seized link.

The new chain and sprockets is an uprated x ring chain.

When out on a test ride yesterday it seems the chian is whining from the front sprocket ( like a supercharger spooling up) and decreases when slowing.

Is this a normal characteristic of a new chain and sprockets until bedded in.

You sure its at the right tension
chain whirr is usually a chain thats way to tight afaik.

Adjust the chain off the mainstand with someone sitting on the bike holding it up. Folks do forget to allow for their own weight, if you carry passenger's & suspension travel when adjusting the chain.

Thanks for the replies. Tutton and Steo were correct, chain was tight. Re adjusted and all is weel.

Passed it MOT no problems this afternoon.
