And ACU licence normally limits you to an ACU group, if they check licences; where you may well find British Superstock riders and other top-level club racers who won't be out to practice their "don't scare the newbie" skills .

But yes, as above; for me life should be about the experience of the act, not of the pleasure received from purchasing choices.

as for massive chicken strips, I can't see ANY on the rear? and the front is the LHS ... that and fronts don't always go right to the edge on certain bikes/tyres!!

He hasn't for a second proclaimed he is a riding god (i.e. Rossi #2), so why the negativity?

Indeed - I'll well known for making fun of them, too!

I still hold that a large number of such people would find they actually enjoyed the riding a lot more if it was a tatty bike they were riding; not constantly worrying about not scratching the tarty stuff, or what their reflection looks like!

Its just plain sad IMO. Bellends who dress up like Rossi on some sort of bodged Rossi rep bike are from the same breed as tosspots who look like a certain celebrity so start to dress and act like them.
You can say its admiration for there hero, i think it borders on perversion. Pretty fukin sad that you get a buzz from pretending to be someone else. Being yourself is where its at!

It's sad because he's trying to be someone else.. any man that tries to be someone else has no self respect and therefore demands none.

I wouldn't have minded so much if he had a decal or two referring to Rossi but going the whole hog with leathers, helmet, etc etc.. just a bit too far.

As I often do, I'm going to disagree with those that agree with me, just to ensure I have no friends left ...
I'd say that the two things are on the same scale, just at rather different ends of it .

I have to admit, sadly, I too am on the scale, and not right at the non-tart end. The difference with me, or so I tell myself, is that I do feel guilty about having tartin-thoughts and rarely let it get further than that!
(*And when they do, then tend to be with a bias against the stereotypical tart!)
