Honda CBR 250 RR

Evening folks, how are we all . My brother once had a CBR 250 RR. My brother sold it to a mate of his, who then sold it to a mate of his & he dropped it & has never bothered repairing it & it's been sitting around for years up at my mates farm, & she's looking a little sorry for itself now as she's been neglected for many years, (we're talking around 10 years here).

My question is does anyone know how much do these bikes sell for is good condtion as we're thinking of doing her up, once my TZR R is sold & out the garage. I've looked on Ebay & bike trader, but can't find any 250 CBR's, only 125's, 400's, 600's, 900's etc

cbr 250 rrs are rare bikes to find in England if i was you I'd do it up and just ride it. Sell it and you might not ever have another one. I've only seen them a few times on ebay. If you do sell it i'll buy it the sound lovely.

I paid 2750 for one in 2002. It was probably the most expensive one on the market at the time.

Wouldn't expect you to be able to get anyone to pay more than 2k for one now, last one I saw on biketrader was around the 1600 mark.

I notice very few of the 400's are around for over 2k at the moment, only bat motorcycles who import what few mint ones there are left, and are big enough to not be in a hurry to sell them.

The 250 is so little known I doubt they will ever become 'classic' in the traditional sense, just completely forgotten about and thus only of high value to someone who really wants one.

I doubt i'd be interested in another, wouldn't want to ruin the memory.

Same engine as my 250 hornet I believe, and it is great fun to ride. Very satisfying to ride fast without actually going silly speeds.

I don't want to sell my hornet because of the amount of pleasure I get from riding it, I can't imagine (because I haven't properly ridden one) riding a bike with over 100hp on the road being that satisfying on a track yes, but on interesting roads no.

Fix it, ride it and enjoy it.

It was in exactly the same colours as that one posted above, but when my brother owned it, he had it resprayed in Castrol colours. He's got a pic of it somewhere, I'll try & find it & post it up.

He's going up the farm today to see what condtion it's in .
