Yeah keeping hold of them may be the better idea. But dont go and cash them into your newsagents to pay for the daily star.

So people are genuinely paying good money for these?

Are they going to take them out of circulation or something? If yeah, then fair play they are a rarity. If not, I don't see what's to stop a collector going into the bank and getting £100 changed into 20p coins on the off chance that one of them fits the bill rather than paying a silly amount for one of them on ebay with the bonus that you can cash all but the one that matches back and it's only cost you 20p.

Also on the flip side, there'd be nothing to stop some opportunistic bugger doing the same but with the intention of selling it in the end - much better odds than lottery scratchcards anyway!
