moped seat problem

i cant lift the seat,is there a lever / cable, or is it connected to the ignition in some way ,it also has a flat battery and it does'nt say if its a 6volt or 12 volt please help cheers Confused

A make and model would help, I suspect.

I know if its a Yamaha jog R then you need to turn the key the opposite way and it will click open.
Or see if it has this on your ped.

Look on one of the bulbs, it will tell you the voltage on there.

If its a yamaha, the ignition is also the seat catch lock. If it wont open the cable might of snapped and you simply need to remove the front of the said scooter to get to the cable.

Yep.

Turn the key to the left to open the seat.

Turn the key whislt depressed to the left and it engages the steering lock.
