Best ?20 i ever spent...

Went out for a ride today, only a wee one to Southport and back. We were coming home through Bolton town center and took a wrong turning. Ended up going down hill towards a dead end. So my dad started turing round after going up hill abit up some driveway.

I followed but he stopped waiting for a car to go past an i were stuck at the top of this drive hill on about a 30 degree angle. Put my right leg down by instinct and ended up losing my balance and dropped it.

First time i bought for my bike was some mushrooms. Not a mark on my bike. Mushrooms ain't looking too brilliant though.

Could kick myself for putting the wrong foot down though!

Yes hex, but i put the right down when i come to lights to put it in neutral. So i have got into that habbit.

They were only cheap motrax ones i got off ebay. Worth every penny though Smile

My dad were just glad there was no damage.

I'd say if you aint got some get them. Never know what might happen.

My instructor told me to get myself into 1st gear coming up to lights, keep clutch in and put left foot down and cover rear brake with right foot.

Was it just my instructor that told me that. Might have stopped you dropping it as it couldn't have got away from you on the rear brake.
Unlucky though.

Yea your right adam. If the camber would of been sloping the other way and i was doing as i were taught i would of gone down still.

No matter, coulda woulda shoulda. Least the bike were fine an the mushrooms did their job.

Well worth the money Jay.

They are easy to fit, 10 min job.

Just take the bolts out holding the engine in place and stick the shooms in with the new longer bolts. Can be tricky if the engine sags abit like mine did.

alot easier than taking your tank off to have it resprayed though Confused

3 weeks after i bought a brand new 2004 Aprilia rs125, i was coming home from work and a woman pulled out of a filling station infront of me. I just managed to turn right and brake enough that i didn't go into the side of her car. What actually happened was that the front of her car scrapped up the side of my left fairing...... or so i thought. When i got off the bike and wheeled it backwards a little i noticed that there wasn't a mark on the bike. But the Motrax Mushrooms i bought for £25 held the fairing away from her car enough to do no damage to my bike. Her bumper was pretty badly scrapped up though. Silly cow Very Happy

It did scare the crap out of me though. Shocked

Went to the local honda dealer today and they didn’t have any in, and the last lot they ordered for a customer took 6 weeks to come in and then they were the wrong ones! Shocked

Call the place where I got my bike, they have 4 sets in, when I gave my name the guy said he would do me a bit of a discount as I got my bike from there. Very Happy

Picking them up tomorrow.

Got one bolt out now cant get the new one in, the engine has sagged, how do i un-sag it? been fiddleing with a car jack under the engine but it just moves the whole bike!
