Although try Richer sounds, they sell some reasonable quality amps and often have good sale prices on some items. It's Hi-Fi equipment rather than computer specific but a half decent amp can be used for all sorts of things, not just the computer.

£80 is pushing it a bit for an amp + speakers though. They'd do you a good, entry level, 4-channel stereo amp made by Cambridge audio for that much. 200w output ought to be more than enough unless you live in a football stadium

I use a slightly more expensive one than that on my computer (and for all my other sound amplification requirements) with a couple of big f-off floor standing speakers. The jack to stereo leads allowing you to connect a soundcard to a stereo amp cost from £1.99 upwards.

I plugged my playstation into it too, playing guitar hero through a 200w stereo amp connected to a pair of 4' high speakers takes the game to the next level.

I've got a Denon PMA-350se (as well as a load of other Denon bits and pieces) and a pair of B&W Vision speakers. Total cost was just over £50. Its all old kit but for the price, you could't buy anything new that would touch it.
