maybe its just my area but has anyone else noticed an increase in the size and density of the airborne bugs ?
its like riding through flak at times and the impacts are so messy i've had to stop a few times just on the way to work to clean my visor.

especially those massive bugs that sort of explode green goo what the hell are they ?

Rode down a country lane on the way to the kid's school and ride through a cloud of little buzzy things. There were so many I could virtually hear the 'blaattt' as they covered me and the bike.

Cue walking into a school meeting looking like I'm wearing some kind of furry Mosquito jacket...

the front of my bike is currently a fly massacre !
takes ages to scrub the little buggers off.
they just seem to that much bigger than previous years. i dont remember them being that noticable before. now some of the bigger ones nearly take your head off !

I used some helmet and visor cleaner the get the bugs off the front of mine, worked well. (unknown effect on paintwork, but I assume it's ok for the helmet, it's ok for the bike).

I may not have been riding for long, but alreday discovered the drawback of a dark visor is that just when you might want to open it as you head into the dark shadows under trees.... all the bugs live there!

Yay, work freebies!
I used to use the baby wipes from the knockin' shop.
Used to get the bugs off, just the same.

Prolly didn't do me visor much good.
But then I rarely use it anyway.

Problem with the winged ones, if they splat on your visor and don't disintegrate properly then you end up looking at them and not concentrating on the road....!

Personally, I hate it when you get a big bug splatter on the visor, and I mean bumblebee-sized sort of splatter, because you can't help but be distracted by it slowly sliding across the visor.

thankfully the fresher weather seems to have kept them at home this morning
last night though i thought i was being shot at with the pinking noises and bug guts covering my visor !
thumbs up though for tesco beeswax polish, makes bug gut removal a lot easier
