Seems like there's more posts about cars on BCF than bikes these days.

I know Random Banter is for anything, but I think it would be useful to have a car specific section.

If bcf went down that route we'd end up with a load of spotty teens with chaved up corsa's arguing in here aswell.

Thumbs Down

I agree I think it'd be a slippery slope and the bike only riders would end up as a minority.

In any case there's loads of car specific forums out there, Ford, Fiat, even model specific forums like Corsa, Focus etc... and for the rest of the questions there's always a Haynes manual.

I understand why people post car related stuff on here though, we are after all a very helpful bunch and if you're new on a car forum you might not get a good response.

However, I'm sure a Google search (esp in groups) before posting on here might actually be more useful.

Reason I ask about car related questions on here is that it is full of helpful people who have a healthy interest in all things oil and engines. Rather than car forums which are filled with chlamydia and plastic bodykits.

Adding a new section would require an admin. Laughing

They probably already are.

But I do agree that it should go in random banter. Smile

I was thinking a bike/accessory review section would be a good idea?

I think if we had a car section that required members to post a minimum amount of posts elsewhere first then it could work, 1 section for cars isn't going to over-run the forum, the forums name kinda gives it away...... there'd be no need to advertise the car section, and no want for it either. Just had a look at a first car post going on at the minute and couldn't even get the first page finished. This is not a criticism of the poster or those that were interested but couldn't see the point on this site.

Drove a car for 27 years so don't object to cars or proper drivers but can't see the point of a specific section. The one going on now is fine where it is for those interested.

The last post was made 17 years, 88 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
