At the end of the day, you should ride within your comfort zone, and not ride faster than you feel comfortable with. Andy should appreciate this and keep his speed lower, out of consideration for you . Tell him a group is only as fast as the slowest rider . ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

I didn't even read your post before voting for him to slow down to your speeds.
When riding in a group, even if just two, you should always slow to the slowest person speeds.
Ask 30sumthin_gal. We was out last thursday and her NSR is restricted, so I just sat at her speeds doing wheelies, we had a very good ride out, she rides that NSR flat out hehe bout time she de-restricted it (hint hint)
And on our club rideout, we always think about the slower riders, not "oh look he/she is slow" lol but I mean about keeping up, knowing the way and feeling a part of the group as everyone else.
It's not all about going flat out everywhere. ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes |

Hi
Ride at your own pace like korn said. If he wants to ride that fast he will have to wait for you. Making someone rider faster than they are comfortable with is a big no no .
Oh and yams not everyone has to ride at the slowest pace. All you do i wait for the slow people at the next junctions.

Andy should have respect for you and your riding. Riding is about enjoying it, its dangerous enough without going beyond YOUR comfort level. I have 2 kids myself, and I know the maternal instinct is strong, self preservation and all that!
YamsR6 is right. I know I held him back, but thats not the point. I went to my (and my bikes) limits and I enjoyed it.
When we ride out, I am the slowest rider, and everyone respects that. I am never pressurised to go faster / harder than I want to. If they want to go faster, thats up to them. I dont and wont go faster that I want. Be safe. ____________________ Ive now passed my test, now I am learning how to ride!!! |

To be fair, I wouldn't have said that 20mph over the limit is exactly slow - would you?! |
Its not slow, but still i do the good old pin back the throttle and hold on tight, ofcourse this is only on a 125, just do what you feel comfortable with, i wouldnt go out of my way to do speed's i didnt want to. ____________________ 1999 Aprilia RS125 Valentino Rossi replica, Fitted with RAVE unit, D.I.D O-Ring chain, Bridgestone Battleaxe Tyres, and screen wond in to look like the GP bike hehe |

maybey just take things a bit slower when you ride, to slow down the pace down a bit.
think that bit more, take enough time to do all your checks, lifesavers etc.
sometimes you can get locked into riding quickely ie, quick gearchanges, throttle positioning. You dont realise that you can still make very good progress but you can slow/smoothen your controlls down, and as a result you will find you ride more accurat. smoothness can also help in this situation.
i like going a bit mad ever so often(who doesnt), but sometimes it is nice to slow the controls down, slghtly lessen the pace, smooth out and PLAN you actions well. as i say you can still make good progress while doing so. it is also rewarding, but in a different kind of way.
im not judging you or your riding btw, and im not sure if you find my bantings usefull, but there you have it.
just make sure you arent sucked into doing something you dont want to.

Never try to keep up with others for the sake of it. I'd rather be slow and still alive than push myself to the limit.
Do what feels safe for you |
