Well fairly similar to the current ones but different design....

Found on the A4 just next to the shell petrol station, here....

Not sure what is different about this compared to the usual boxy ones but I guess something has been improved. There aren't any lines on the road but I'm pretty sure it is a speed cam not a traffic light one. So maybe that is the "improvement"... it doesn't need lines on the road.

Apologies if this is a repost Smile

One day we should plan an attack, and drive/ride around one night with angle grinders/petrol and take out ever camera in the UK. This would be be forever known as Epic Win Day.

Actually, the lines on the road aren't used for enforcement, so no camera NEEDS them for it to nick you. They are a cross-reference only.

Nevertheless they are pretty useful to know exactly what distance it is measuring your speed from and the lines are a tell-tale sign of the cameras existence. It sucks if they don't have them on new cameras! Mad

It's on the wrong side of the road for forward-facing camera isn't it?

it amused me to see the preston "hat stands" as i remember when they went up, they were removed by some blokes with a white van and luminous jackets and all the drivers thought they were from the council Laughing

I think the best treatment for the speed camera has to be the expanding foam through the small hole. Saw that done to one on a website once, just thought it was a nice easy way of completely FUBAR'ing the internals.

Cordless drill - Check
10mm Split point TIN coated drill bit - Check
Couple of tins of cheapo expanding foam - Check

Laughing

I never realised how many Gatsos people actually destroy!

We have two of the 'Monitron' ones literally at the end of my road, they are a pain in the ass.

Don't get yourself on camera coz some have constant-recording on internal hard drives and the recording stuff is in the base.
