Zak, you would also fall into the midland category according to Korns map, so Razz to you.

And you class yourself as living in Rotherham which is even further South ya pansy. Wink

I would like to point out that Colin banned me from the Midlands forum earlier for saying he's a crap mod, I think that his actions just prove my point, he's too immature to be a mod. Twisted Evil Razz

I quite liked the idea of having it so that anyone could view the forums (to get people interested) but you could only read the actual thread if joined.
That way it's a fair bit more obvious too newbies that they are there, then if they try to view a thread they get a 'click here to join' button.
You could possibly use some javascript/css or something so that it's hidden, then pops down when clicked on, so it doesn't clutter up the main screen so much.

Alternatively, how about sticking in a feature that lets mods click to make a duplicate of a thread in O&E or something, for the initial threads.

Would probably make sense to have a few mods for each area... though you may have some trouble finding 'responsible' people in the midlands area. Not sure if I've met anyone from there that would be classified as such Razz.

Evil or Very Mad I'm responsible, I'm always told I ride like a girl therefore I am responsible. Razz

I think a good way to do it is so newbies can view the forums but can't reply/post in them until they have been added to the group, that way they will be made aware of the forums presence but can't flood it with stuff like "Hi I'm new which is the fastest 125". Thumbs Up

Consider your self bitch slapped. Razz

I agree we need another/new mod adding to the midlands forum even if its just to replace Dodd as he's never with us much any more.

Korn knows I would do it, but I don't really care who it is as long as they are around most the time and ain't going abuse the small amount of abilities they have.

Some of them are now there. I still need volunteers from among the regulars to run:
  • Scotland
  • The South West

Suggestion: Put them above the Feedback/Mods/Testing bit cos that's stuff that the majority never look at.

Korn, just an idea, but could you make it so that users are automatically entered into the relevant group (provided they have provided a post code on their profile) once they get to a certain karma level or number of posts?

Would cut down on administration for the mods etc.
