This is my second post on this bike in as many weeks, so thanks for sticking with me!

As stated in my last post my bike was stolen and dumped in a field. I have just got it turning over but I cant engage any gear.

Is my clutch or gear box knackered?

I have tried to adjust my clutch cable to both extremes to no avail.

It seems to clunk into gear as normal, and it even goes through the gears but without the drive.

Any ideas?

Is the chain still attached to the bike at both ends?

Could the front sprocket have come off or the chain have come off the sprocket?

The chain is still on along with both sprockets but somehow there is no power getting the wheel.

I havent mentioned that it seems that the clutch is constantly engaged.

That doesn't make any sense. If the clutch was constantly engaged, then the bike would stall when you're in gear. That would be a symptom of a broken clutch cable.

I think it's unlikely that a clutch would have failed in such a way as to be constantly disengaged without catastrophic damage.

Not too tricky a job to drain the oil, whip off the cover and take a look.

More likely to be a gearbox problem though, possibly a broken selector fork or similar as a result of the bike being dropped hard on the gearlever.

I'd check the clutch first though, it's easiest.

Oh I see, I think I meant disengaged. Its as if clutch lever is 'in' all the time.

The gear lever is badly bent from being dropped by those scally f*ckers! I'll take a look at the clutch this afternoon.
