Went out for a play with a few mates at the weekend, unfortunately I was not able to participate as I had a sprained wrist.... Was still good fun watching though! Also a few pictures of my mates newish Honda.

The guy on the blue Ninja has done under 800 miles since passing his test! It was unbelievable how well he was cornering with so little experience. Unfortunately this morning I found out that he has written off the bike and broken his arm due to overtaking by a junction and not being seen by the car....

Honda looks like sex. I want one.

Ninja...too much confidence too soon maybe?

Overtaking by junction, bad times. Still, car driver could have been a little more observant. Hope he's ok.

I think he was over confident, but after hearing what happened I think it was just lack of road sense, or maybe he was just unlucky...

Good roadsense is something that can only be developed with mileage, and 800 isn't alot.

I'd say it was more what you experienced on those miles.
One could go 8000 miles without ever experiencing the situations where one develops roadsense, or someone could go 800 miles in an area where if you don't develop road sense quickly, you end up dead.

Very true ^^^

800 miles riding around London would get you alot more experience than 800 miles round the M25. IMO.

Its definitely a write off, frame is bent on right side, forks bent, total waste, gutted for him.

He was planning on getting third party only but his bro managed to persuade him to get fully comp!!!

They were some shitty little white things that sat almost flush with the fairing, he was going to invest in some R&G's. I don't think they would have made any difference, when he came off the bike went crashing into a big bollard so unfortunately they were no use...

As it's a wright-off I think the insurance company will be taking it from him.

He's good, has his arm in plaster but he vows to be back by next summer. Thumbs Up

anyone find Kwaks always seem to destroy their front ends regardless of speed they came off?

Unfortunate, gorgeous bike. He did look uncomfortable leaning off like that though in the pics.

Erm, no he doesnt?

800 miles is very little, but he looks confident, his body positioning is very good, to be honest.

That he then crashed suggests overconfidence.

All the best

In the pictures above only one are actually of him, the others are his brother (who owns the Blade) on his and my bike. Here are a few more pictures of him.

He is one of those annoying people who is really good at everything he tries!!! I think he will be a very good rider, but yes he was too confident, I mean 1 handed knee down 800 miles after passing your test is pretty ridiculous if you ask me!! His older brother (who is an experienced and good rider) was well aware of his over confidence and kept letting him to stop being a twat or he would end up road kill.... Funnily enough it was not trying to ride fast, or with any particular skill which made him crash, just lack of road sense...
