might not get the RS125, got a quote and the insurance is quite high..the bike is also quite expensive and i cant afford constant rebuilts, does anyone by any chance have something in the region or 1300 (or less) that they want to sell?

what bikes should I look for? i had a gs125, want something quicker, nicer looking...

If you do your test you'll have lessons = no reason to fail!

Or get an older 125. Bike trader is your friend Karma

There is a GS on Ebay for £50, could you nick the bits off one bike for yours or put all the good bits off your bike on another?

the RS should comfortably be able to run at around 70+ mph for a good long time, as long as its got topped up 2 stroke and water bottles. My NS held 70mph for a little under 60 miles the other weekend.

Hi

They are basically reliable. I have had mine from new in 1993 and only done around 17000km.

Problems:-
Front wheel bearings went (big deal).
Ignition problems. Fine up to around 9500rpm but then lost power. Really must get round to testing the bits to see which bit was faulty (I just swapped the lot with some spares I have).
Clutch cable.
Blocked fuel filter.
Broken wire from the regulator / rectifier unit so it didn't charge the battery.
Sticking power valve (teach me for running it in!).

It doesn't get used that much, but when it does get used it tends to either be being run in or being thrashed.

All the best

Keith

probably about 75 and 60.

the GS is probably worth about £150 - £200 for for the bits or as a project bike.
