Stick it on e-bay somebody WILL give you quite a bit for it, theres no way it will cost anymore than £200 to fix, provided you can get somebody to do it, or get yourself a socket set, torque wrench and a manual, get to a breakers and do it yourself!

Then with the money you get for the bike you can buy a cattle prod and go after the fool responsible Twisted Evil

Unlucky mate, I'm sure you'd still get a few quid off ebay or breaking it though so that's worth a try - people are always after projects for summer.

Get a pre 1995 one and you may get it for a respectable few hundred. I got my AR (hardly the fastest but quick enough for a 125) for under 600.

My mate paid £200 for his 1993 NSR, it was tatty, had no MOT but ran. I find its best to ask the local bike shops when buying really cheap little bikes, my bikes previous owner paid £200 for my bike from a bike shop, with a long MOT and running (although the timing kept going out whenever you put it in gear because the thrust washer was missing, lol) and quite a few other mates have brought cheap 125s from my local mechanic. 1400 is plenty for a sports bike, you should get a pretty nice one for that!

I would stick with a NSR, parts are easy to get hold of. And think how much it will cost if you damage the mito in the same way that you wrecked your GS!

Blimey that was quick, I would say have a good look around first, but I guess you didn't have time to think about that. It will be alot faster than your gs, just remember to let it warm up and use decent 2 stroke oil.

Enjoy the engine rebuilds Cool Wink

i paid £650, then £170 on a complete new engine, then £130 to get it fitted and tuned. So i'll be making a big loss on what i've paid.
Doesn't matter though, i get my RS tomorrow Very Happy
Enjoy yours too bro Thumbs Up Cool

Damn Roo, that was quick going. I was considering an RS or NSR instead of the CG i'm probably going to get. I can just hear the insurance companies giggling at me. May have to give Danny a message.

Nice one though. Very Happy

Great title

Hi

That was quick.

For the RS, take good care of it. Do not thrash it until well up to temperature. Keep on top of the servicing.

And keep your cousin well away from it.

All the best
