Cracking day. Focussed events were ok too. Not a single red flag, only fuckup they made was that they put me in Novice rather than Inters as I'd booked, but hey. Being a slightly bigger fish in a slightly smaller pond was fun.

Oooh that chain looks a bit tight.

Shifty

Can imagine riding in novice when at inters talent can be a pain yet also makes you feel like a riding god. But then I can also imagine riding around being too busy thinking about what dodgy lines beginners are taking. Laughing

The chain's fine Wink Subframe probably is twisted though.

Being in Novice was ok, the worst bit was getting stuck behind the PROPER novices. i.e first trackday ever type novices. You don't wanna stuff them up the inside in case they choke and go off roading. But they are really really slow.

I still got overtaken by a couple of people in Novice. I was happy really, in the end I started going out right at the front of the group, so I had a fair bit of clear track until I caught back markers.

Looking good, I enjoyed Cadwell too (Different day tho!). We also used Focused Events and they were not all that bad on that day. It seems their policy to put anyone who hasnt ridden that circuit before down to novice, a friend got there to find out they've put him from advanced to novice but were more than happy to move him back up after the first session.

I was in novice too and found overall the pace fairly good, there was only one 'real' novice who we all lapped atleast twice a session but everyone else was alright. I think their policy of putting people into novice does mean theres the odd fast guy sharking in the group.

Cadwell FTW Thumbs Up

I'd ridden Cadwell before though! although there was talk of inters being full, so I may have just been put wherever there was a space.

I was secretly glad anyway, I was there with a group of 3 others, and they were all in Novice, so it was nice to play with people I knew.

Same preachy briefing as always but I suppose they've got to do it.

Same photo from the other side:

I did a focused day at Oulton with my brother and we where one of the 1st ones to book and got put in novice. My brothers mate who decided to book a month or 2 later got into inters so their Inters was full excuse is bollocks.

It can be fun riding in a lower group though. Laughing

The pic over the Mountain with you looking at the camera is awesome. Coupled with the well used bike and clashing leathers the whole thing could sum up the word 'irreverent'.

Love it.

Not to mention he's on a 2000 CBR600F, so obviously has good taste in bikes. Laughing
