 |
|
this is from from Gixerboyz...
I can't believe the police actually wanted to do **** all, and told him to go and fetch it himself. What if they'd have come running out of the house tooled up.
question is, what would you have done???
| stirbo wrote: | bike got stolen last week...thought it would have been long gone. Started the insurance details/claim etc and was looking fwd to getting some cash for a replacement....
Well, I get a call yesterday from the police, saying they have found my bike, it is in so and so road, and "if you want it, to go and get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Thats right. They tell me it is on someone's drive, behind a big red van..and that i should get down there myself, and get it back. WTF. How about i just stroll up to the house where it is, the house belonging to the c**t that stole it, knock on his door, and ask him to kindly move his van so i can have my bike back that this c0ck had just stolen a few days ago. I'm sure he/they will be more than happy to oblige.
I mean come on. The police tell me where it is. On a driveway. HOW ABOUT MAKING SOME F**KING ARRESTS?????? Nope. They are too busy.
So what the F am i supposed to do. Well i thought f**k it. I'm having it back no matter what. If these c**ts have the bollox to take it from under my nose, i'll give them a taste of their own f**King medicine.
So i venture out on my own, all 5'9 of me, on foot, with bike key, helmet and gloves, and make my way into deepest darkest Southall. Now for anyone who doesn't know of southall...it's a complete shitehole.
So, i find the house, and sure enough, under MY bike cover, and still with MY disc lock on, in MY bike sat on HIS drive. By this time the adrenaline is running, and my left leg is properly shaking. But f**k it. Here goes. I rock up to the bike. Cover off and crammed into my rucksack (didn't quite go but it was good enough). Remove the disclock, key in ignition, and fire her up. No way out fwd due to the van blocking the way. So it's straight across the **** lawn. Tear it up, and burn off down the street.
SHE IS ONCE AGAIN BACK WITH HER OWNER. BEST 15 MINUTE RIDE OUT OF MY LIFE.
Lesson has been learnt. She will no longer be parked out on the road. Now stored in a mates garage. lets hope the bandits that took her don't come back to do me over again!!!!!!! |

If true fair play to the boy for going and getting it. Although the van would have had a few extra modifications to it.
Bad craic from the Police, words cannot describe their attitude sometimes ____________________ Current; 10' Aprilia Dorsoduro 750.

The police won't want to get in a tussle, especially when there's a possibility of a real threat to their safety and there's only a few of them. What are you? Nuts?
Now if he was on his own and handcuffed and there were 300+ riot police then they'd be up for some action. Isn't that right Mr James? ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F

Is everyone missing the excellent detective work of the police?
Not only did they find the bike, but while it was behind a van, under a cover, without the thief even realising! Hats off. |

Was he sure it was the police and not some nice person letting him know where his bike was, although i find the coppers useless most of the time i cant see them saying get it yourself because if you did and somthing bad happened they would be in a grey area for a lawsuite i would think. Glad he got it back though

It is pretty questionable how his bike was identified in such circumstances However if it did happen I doubt it was anyone that legitimately bought the bike from the thief. Would you buy a bike still with the disc-lock etc. on and with no keys, v5 Fairly obviously a dodgy deal there |

I love how everyone is saying they would have done his van in and bricked all his windows. The only thing 90% of folk put in this situation would have been able brick, would be a decent pair of trousers.
I know I would have done the same, get bike... Feck off! ____________________ My current bikes are - YZF-R1 & GS 500 E

This story beggars belief. I couldn't just take my bike back from whoever nicked it, I'd have said to the police I was going round to stab whoever did it, I bet they'd turn up then.
Makes me angry just reading this story ____________________ Current: GSXR 750 K6 Previous: R1, R6, ZXR400, NSR125 Next: Ducati 848 or 999 |

Does happen the force down here told us to do it, when we found it before them, this was a modded up car and they'd just bent the top of the door down to gain entry. I think after we got it home they phoned up offering to take it away and get it printed but its cost something like 200 quid, when there probably was no prints anyway ____________________ Past: '05 Peugeot XPS '99 Aprillia RS125 '94 FZR600R
