Cool, knew he was into his cars but not bikes. Although the fact he does a lot of 'driving' on them is a tad worrying Smile

I cant make my mind up about the bike though. Looks very tame, less aggresive and more like a gsxf. Just not overly impressed by the styling.

Guess its all down to stricter emissions and shizzle like that. Aren't they all restricted aswell? (voluntary i believe).

Don't know if its a speed limiter or a power limiter (which in turn limits the speed to 186) but i think they can be 'de-restricted' very easily.

yeah most litre sportsbikes are limited to the agreed 186mph by a speed limiter. doesnt affect the acceleration up to that point though.

Most of them aren't actually limited, just the clocks stop reading at 186. Laughing

The new GSXR is a bit of a lard arse compared to it's rivals apparently.

On the Road I'm sure the differences are not that noticeable, but in a recent test on the track it was 2 seconds behind the rest of the pack!

It's strange that Suzuki have managed to make the newer model 30kg heavier, and less powerful? Surprised Rolling Eyes

More revs, more power and less weight? it's normally the case but not with the newer GSXR which is somewhat refreshing.

Most new bikes look like toys, bring back mid 90's early 2k styling.

Shocked Refreshing that they have made a bike which is purely designed to go fast, less fast?

Well it's gotta end somewhere, build quality is already being sacrificed in the quest for more power and less weight.

Maybe the extra weight is because of the extra welds on the headstock Razz

The new Fireblade has arguably one of the best quality Blades produced. Really well thought out and put together machine, Honda really went back to basics with the new blade and it worked. I know what your saying though, is all of this flash MotoGP technology being thrown at the latest sports bikes really needed for the average rider? Probably not...
