The other day, my front fairing came away from the bike (in a controlled manner, I took it off before it broke off as it was going that way)

Now I have no headlamp or front indicators.

Can I still legally ride in the daylight like this? Someone said I could tape over my rear indicators and rear light as if it was a daytime MOT, but I'm not so sure about taping over my brake light.

I might just have to ride the journey anyway and hope for the best, but I'd like to know if I am legal or not Confused

i was thinking if i get a trackbike.. can i take the indicators, lights etc off. and replace with race fairings..

i can leave a road legal exhaust on and a numberplate
i dont think indicators are a legal requirement.

I don't actually know. BUT, I do know people who ride out during the day without a headlight, so I would assume it's perfectly legal. Indicators are only a must for the MOT for certain aged bikes. They are not a legal requirement.
