WIRING HELP

hi all,
im attempting to wire in some indicators on this wreck of an mtx.
(along with a few other jobs.)
im looking at the wiring diagram, but tbh, i've never been any good at understanding them.
as far a the vdiaframs go, theres 3 wires going to the flasher relay.
but only 2 of them actually connect!
(& i have checked a pic of the relay & its 2 pins).
where does the other wire go?
grey & blue to the relay, green goes nowhere.wtf?
also the actual indicator wiring.
im looking for 8 wires, right?
4 for front & 4 for back? (2 for each indicator)
well, i can only find 4, 2 at the front & 2 at the back.
anyone out there with a better understanding of electrics( that wont be hard, lol) that could give me some advice ?

The extra wire for the relay might be there for a different model that uses 3 wires. f you only have two leads for both fronyt indicators, i'm guessing that the indicators earth themselves and may have a loop that fits on the stem with a wire leading off to earth.

For a flasher unit you will probably need at least 3 wires: Perm live (feed), switch live and earth.

Regarding the indicators, coming from the indicators there should be two wires - if they are original, one wire will be green and the other either light blue (r) or orange (l) depending on whether right or left.
Both the green wires from either side indicator on the rear should plug into a 'double female connector' on the main wiring loom. I think that it is a similar setup for the front indicators as well.

hi,
& thanks, that does make a bit of sense, but tbh the wirings in a bit of a state, especially at the back.
anyway. at present it has no indicators, though im pretty sure it did have at some point. (seeing as they were fitted as standard, lol)
& there are spare wires.
it didnt have a indicator relay but i have a couple spare.
so really need to know :
1 : how many pins/connectors does the relay have.
2 : which wires connect to the relay & where. (ie to what pins)
3 :what colour are the wires coming from the bike, to connect to the indicators. (that i havnt bought yet, i was planning on buying oem handlebar mounted ones for the front & any old bulb type for the rear)
a pic of the wiring at the relay & at the front & rear connections would help me immensely.
