This is going to sound a little stupid, but is there a way of finding out the exact date my insurance runs out without the documents or phoning the company?

Laughing

You could look at old bank statements or online banking to see when they charged your account but that could be done on the day you bought the insurance or a few days later.

My bank statements are even worse organised than my insurance documents! Laughing

Thanks for the idea though Thumbs Up What I really need is some kind of website or something.

Oh and phoning them is off the list since A) im not sure who i'm insured with and B) my phone got cut off on thursday.

Check askimid.com on a daily basis? Might work, but they're not known for being 100% reliable updating the database when a vehicle is insured so the same could be true for them updating the database when a vehicles insurance runs out.

Look back through your posts on BCF and any other bike forums you use to see if you can find any mention about you insuring your bike?

If there's a chance you bought the policy online then have a look back through old emails you've got.

Go to your bank and see if they can help you with finding the transaction? Guessing you've got some idea of when you insured it so that'd be a starting point. You can get copies of old bank statements, they're not free but getting details of the transaction will tell you who you're insured with so you could find out when the insurance runs out.

Can't you activate online banking for your account?

Or just sit back and wait to get a renewal quote in the post. Smile
