hi

the fan is controlled by the fan switch on the radiator and not the thermostat.

check the switch on the rad by removing the wires the fan should stop.

it may go through a re-lay but i cant remember as its 20 odd yrs since i had one but the switch is most likely cause Smile

There is every chance that someone has shorted out the wires on purpose. It may be that the switch is broken or that the bike was overheating.

Aye.

Fit an inline switch if you like, the sensors are dear as i recall. I ran one into the fairing of my FZR1000.

Leaving the fan on certainly wont hurt the bike.
