Do all old 125s fat oil like it's going out of fashion? Or is it just mine? Thanks!

It's a 91 sr125 four stroke. Been having all sorts of little issues with it. Filled the oil about a fortnight ago, and have had to replace today. No signs of any leaks though!

Leaks can be sneaky, if it's on the head the heat will slowly burn the oil off so can be hard to see a leak in that area.

Also it could just be burning a silly amount of oil with the combustion, leaky rings? dodgy valve guides?

Does it smoke when you start it up? on the over run? smoke at all?

No smoke that i've noticed, but backfiring has been an issue.
